Do I have to be in great shape to take classes? Is there a weight restriction?
Goodness No! Good Gyrrl classes are for women of all ages (over 21), shapes and sizes! It's about self-discovery with the added benefit of fitness. We encourage you to embrace your curves and love them! Most classes teach you how to rely on your body weight and help you gain upper and lower body strength. The poles are designed to hold up to 300 lbs.
Can I make up a missed class?
Yes! We know life gets in the way and you may need to miss one of your scheduled classes. Just let us know your plans so we don't overbook the class. Please try not to do more than 1 or 2 make-ups per session. Unused classes may not be transferred to an upcoming session.
What is class like?
Depending on the course, the classes can run anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour-and-a-half. Most classes, however are only one hour. We begin with a warm up, followed by a challenging and fun workout, and finally a sassy cool down. So leave your troubles at the door and prepare to have a wonderful moment to yourself where the focus is solely on you! Women of all ages and sizes can participate, benefit, and have lots of fun getting into shape!
How much do classes cost?
A 4-week course is $80, a 6-week course, meeting once a week is $90, and a 6-week course meeting twice a week is $180. These are our "recessonista rates" until further notice!
